How to configure my soft-phone for BesTelco VoIP service?

 

After you install the soft-phone and run the softphone, a phone with a dial-pad will pop up on screen, please follow the instruction (refer to the picture below):

 

  1. click on Menu (left to the GREEN phone icon),
  2. then click on System Settings,
  3. then click on SIP proxy,
  4. then click on Default,
  5. then click on Enabled and set to Yes,
  6. then back to SIP proxy and set the Display Name, User Name, Authorized user,  to (the phone number assigned to you; e.g. 17188895497)
  7. set Password (the password assigned to you; e.g. 1234567)
  8. set Domain/realm: 69.56.242.46
  9. set SIP proxy to: 69.56.242.46:5060
  10. set outboundproxy to: 69.56.242.46:5060
  11. then, click on "BACK" at the bottom of the small screen three times, and close that window. 
  12. You will see "Logged in" Enter phone number, you are ready to make call.

 

You can dial 301, f you hear the music, your phone is connected to the system.  You can reach us by dialing: 9-1-630-685-1253 (the digit “9” is for FREE member-to-member calls)

Your dial plan is: 1+AreaCode+PhoneNumber for North America or 011+CountryCode+CityCode+PhoneNumber (for city code, you shall omit the leading digit 0, that was for your long-distance or cell-phone access in your country)

 

If you are using  dial up connection, make sure you go to "advanced settings" and enable G729 on codec setting, then, go under Codec Order, set G729 (or G723 if you have it) as No. 1 priority.
