Make sure you have the following
items in your package: 1. A MyPhone handset (or the Xphone adapter), 2. A CD that contains the software 3. An USB cable, 4. This manual
Minimum system requirements: 1.
a PC, with a Pentium III CPU or above, at least 500Mhz (otherwise you
won't get the best result), that runs
the following OS: Win98, 98SE*,
ME, Win-2000 and XP. 2. an USB Port, 10MB
memory and a CD/CDR/DVD drive 3. Internet connection: ADSL, ISDN, xDSL, Cable Modem
(64k/512k or above) or a 56K modem
dial-up *Remark: If you use Microsoft Window 98 Second
Edition with VIA chiset, installation may fail, in such case, please upgrade
to Window ME version.
How to set
up? (follow the step-by-step procedure): 1. insert the CD
to your CD-ROM drive (click on
"install" when a new screen pops up), through auto-launch, the software
will be installed in seconds,
2. plug one end of your USB cable into the PC and the other end to MyPhone (or the
Xphone adapter instead). Watch the installation of the driver done by
your PC automatically, it may takes several iterations, but it will be
completed
by itself (if you are warned about Microsoft hardware signature did not mach,
just ignore it, simply press your "Enter" key on keyboard)
3. When the installation is completed, an
icon (showing a phone with keypad) will appear on your screen. Then, you
will be prompted for the phone number and password (They are printed in the back of the
MyPhone or the Xphone) and you are ready to make calls now.
4. For the Xphone user, you need to hook up your phone cable to
the back of the adapter before placing a call. Calls will be connected
instantly (less than a second about 99.9% of time), try to call
"100169" as a demo to get a radio program announcement, or to call
100544 or 100546 for tech support.
